Position Overview

Position Purpose

The Manager of Quality is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Renown Quality Improvement Program.

Nature and Scope

This position is responsible for the management of the inter-disciplinary clinical quality improvement program including but not limited to:

Managing the Quality Department staff to meet the organizations quality and safety goals.

Supporting leaders, and clinical teams with the collection, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of data used in decision-making for clinical care improvements.

Oversees progress of quality improvement projects. Reports any difficulties with progress to leadership.

Analyzes patient care information from data sources. Identifies real or potential concerns and oversees development of recommendations to correct or prevent concerns.

Develops succinct and comprehensive reports detailing quality improvement activities, including periodic reporting of organizational performance data.

Oversees adherence to regulatory standards for quality improvement. Acts as a resource for quality improvement information.

Collaborates with leaders to envision, develop, and implement quality and patient safety plans

Organizes and staffs key strategic QI initiatives

Facilitates, develops, and implement special projects as assigned

Establishes quality measurement and improvement activities, including methods to track implementation of action plans following site surveys and critical events reviews.

This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications
Requirements – Required and/or Preferred

Name	Description
Education:	Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. A Bachelors degree in health-related field required. A Masters degree in a health-related field preferred.
Experience:	Three years of healthcare leadership experience required Experience with progressive responsibility and three years in quality improvement/patient safety management required. Knowledge of clinical performance improvement methodologies and JC and CMS regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations.
License(s):	None
Certification(s):	Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred
Computer / Typing:	Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job- specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
