In collaboration with Renown leadership, this position develops and directs the implementation of operational strategies for ensuring organizational compliance with accrediting bodies, federal and local government mandates, regulatory requirements and core measure compliance.
Guides leaders in developing and implementing effective hardwired strategies for regulatory compliance and continual survey readiness through process improvement. This may include things such survey tracer activity, development of spread sheets/graphs through data collection, analysis and distribution of findings, and recommendations to the appropriate individuals, committees, and departments. This position works in tandem with the Director of Risk Management, Directors of Clinical Excellence and Quality Coordinators.
Develops goals and objectives to correspond with organizational goals and department standards. Maintains current knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and monitors best practices throughout the health care industry to facilitate continuous compliance and performance improvement initiatives for the system.. Leads performance improvement projects focused and lean initiatives, ensuring implementation of and adherence to improvement changes.
For the responsibility of the Volunteer program, the incumbent ensures goals of the volunteer program parallel the organizational mission, vision and values, maintains open and supportive communications with staff and volunteers, encourages staff and volunteer participation in the evaluation and improvement processes of the volunteer program and facilitates strong working relationships between the nursing staff/departments and the volunteer staff/department.
This position ensures and incorporates policies and procedures, guidelines, standards and job descriptions for each volunteer in each position to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and managing financial resources, human resources and statistical information, reporting data in benchmarking and operating budget, as well as the creating, implementing and monitoring of strategic planning.
The incumbent is directly responsible for working with Renown Health and community organization leaders in the recruitment, training, placement, retention, recognition and evaluation of an adequate number of competent volunteers to maintain a robust volunteer program.
This position does not provide patient care but does interact closely with clinical, ancillary, and medical staff.
