This position shall participate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive contracting program, assisting in developing contractual agreements in a timely and accurate manner. This position will review contracts for legality and ensure that terms and conditions are in the best interest of Renown Health. Incumbent ensures and determines appropriate contracting to fit the needs of the customer/user. This position will summarize legal documents, perform records research, perform legal research, coordinate research, check legal forms for accuracy, prepare reports, prepare correspondence and draft all sorts of legal documents.
This position must communicate with all levels of staff and administration. The incumbent also performs conflict resolution between vendors and Renown Health regarding contract disputes. The position is expected to know Renown Health purchasing practice standards and relay them to user departments and vendors (i.e. equipment, furniture, products, contracts, etc.)
This position is challenged to meet the needs of customers while ensuring that the Renown Purchasing policies and procedures are followed. Maintains all contract files and ensures contract consistency and accuracy. Ensures contract compliance and vendor performance where appropriate. Can work well in a high-stress environment. Determines methods of contracting to fit the needs of the customer/user.
Skill sought for this position include good writing and communication skills, the ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule, knowledge of legal terminology and principles, ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a healthcare setting, prior experience in contract administration, knowledge of medical products, project-planning experience.
This position uses several automated Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) extensively.
