A new partnership between Hometown Health and SilverSummit Healthplan will provide coverage for all 17 Nevada counties, averting a lack of coverage for about 8,000 rural Nevada residents who use Medicaid. Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval announced the partnership at a press conference on Aug. 15 at Renown Medical Group at Silver Springs.
SilverSummit will be using Hometown Health’s expansive provider network to launch its Health Insurance Marketplace product called Ambetter in 2018.
“Along with our provider network partner, Hometown Health, we strive to be a responsible partner with the state and are committed to working closely with regulators and policymakers to be able to offer affordable coverage options for Nevada residents,” said Garrett Leaf, President and CEO of SilverSummit Healthplan.
